Privacy Policy

Asla (asla.ai) is operated by Lan Doan. This policy explains what information we collect on this site, why, and what you can do about it. We've tried to write it the way we write everything else: plainly.

This policy covers asla.ai, including the checkout at /buy-reset. The Reset course itself lives at reset.asla.ai and has its own privacy policy covering the account you create there.

What we collect

The only information we ask you for is your email address, when you choose to give it to us: to subscribe to our writing, to get the result of a free tool, or to book a call. We also keep a small note of which page you signed up from, so we can send you the right thing.

If you use the free question tool, we ask a few reflection questions so the tool can surface a useful reframe. Your inputs are processed through an AI model to generate the response. We don't store the questions or outputs unless you choose to save them by subscribing.

If you book a call with us, that happens through Calendly. Calendly collects your name, email, and scheduling details directly, under its own privacy policy.

We don't run advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site. If that changes (for example, if we add privacy-respecting analytics to understand what's useful to people), we'll update this section first.

You can buy The Reset on this site, at /buy-reset. That checkout is embedded on asla.ai and provided by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record. When you buy, we collect your email address on this domain and pass it to Paddle so it can send your receipt and we can send your course access link. Card and billing details are entered into Paddle's checkout and handled by Paddle, not by us. We never see or store your card number. We do keep a record of the order (your email, the Paddle transaction reference, and whether access was granted) so we can fulfil the purchase and help you recover access later.

How we use it

We use your email to send what you signed up for: the newsletter, a tool result, a reminder about a call. We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone except the services that help us run this site (below).

Who we share it with

We use Lovable Cloud (Supabase) to store our subscriber list, order records, and to send email; Calendly to handle call scheduling; and Paddle to process purchases of The Reset. Paddle acts as our Merchant of Record and receives your email address along with the payment and order details you enter at checkout, which it uses to take payment, send your receipt, handle sales tax, and manage refunds. Each of these processes your information under its own privacy and security practices. We don't share your information with anyone else, and we never sell it.

How long we keep it

We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from future sends; if you'd like your data deleted entirely, email us (below) and we'll take care of it.

Your rights

Wherever you're writing to us from, you can ask us to show you what we have on file, correct it, or delete it. Email bewithasla@gmail.com and we'll respond as quickly as we can.

Children

This site isn't directed at anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us, through the practices of the providers we use (Lovable Cloud, Calendly). No method of storing or sending data online is perfectly secure, so we can't promise it absolutely, but we treat it carefully.

Where your data is processed

We and our service providers are based in the United States, so information you give us is processed and stored there.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top and, for anything material, note it here.
